Rangers Knock off Yankees!

The Texas Rangers have done the semenly impossible by knocking of the all powerfull New York Yankees to reach the World Series. Its a huge victory for the organization and it meant an awful lot to the players as many crying tears of joy at the conclusion. The Rangers will now go on to face either the Phillies are the Giants in the World Series. Who do you have winning the Phillies-Giants series and facing the Rangers?

Brandon Marshall in the NBA?

Brandon Marshall of the NFL’s Miami Dolphins apparently is going to try and pursue a career in basketball next year should there be a lockout. At first it appeared that he was joking, but it turns out he wasnt. He already has a list of teams he would try out for. Sure I have never seen him play basketball, but I have a hard time believing that he is good enough for NBA. He has always been a cocky dude but this seems to be taking it too far. Part of me thinks this is still a joke, what do you think?

Tiger Struggles In Akron

Tiger Woods shot a career worst -4,74 today at the firestone. He has won the tournament many times and some thought it would be a perfect place for his first victory. Its not looking so good, as Woods played horribly, he was 2 over after 2 and only had 2 birdies on the day. Woods is hoping he can bring his game together tomorrow and hopefully be get to par or under. Overall Tiger is going to have to have an amazing weekend if he wants his first win.

Bosh Chose not to Play In Games.

Toronto Raptors Gm Bryan Colangelo voiced his opinion on Chris Bosh today stating that the all-star chose to sit while healthy. Apparently Bosh was cleared to play by doctors, but decided to play it extra safe anyways. As a Raptor fan this ticks me off a little. I’m sure at that point Bosh knew he wasn’t going to come back to Toronto, but he still was under contract to play. Doctors are usually the most conservative when it comes to playing on an injury, and if they clear you to play then there should be no excuse not to. I believe this shatters the already tarnished view of Bosh in Raptor country. What do you think, was Bosh out of line not playing when healthy?

Free Agents Signed!

Today was a busy day in sports for big name free agents. Start in Football with the Bengals signing reality star and pro bowler Terrell Owens. Owens will now most likely run the middle the field and take pressure off of Chad Ochocinco who always gets doubled teamed. Its a bold move for the Bengals that should pay off in the long run. The NHL had it share of big signings as Alexander Frolov signed with the rangers and will most likely play alongside All-Star Marion Gaborik. Frolov has been in a decline in recent years, the Rangers hope their coaching style mixed with playing with great players will respark his career. The last big signing of the day was in LA where the kings signed Alex Ponikarovsky. Ponikarovsky is a big winger that will fill the shoes of Frolov and add some grit and skill up front. Overall, all the days deals seem to make sense, but you can never tell until game day.

Bengals Reality Recievers?

The Cincinnati Bengals already have to deal with the antics of Chad Ochocinco and according to reports they may add another drama queen in Terrell Owens. T.O has been in conversation with the Rams and Bengals about a signing a contract however, it appears St. Louis has passed on T.O making Cincinnati the front runner to sign him. This would be a bold move for the Bengals who would be uniting two of the most outspoken players in debatably NFL History. Both players have always been the number one reciever on their teams, and neither have really been forced to share the spotlight. However, if both players could potentially find a way to make it work, the Bengals could be a legitimate offensive force, as their running game is already pretty good. What do you think, Would signing Owens work out for the Bengals?

T-Mac Expected to Sign with the Bulls!

Reports are surfacing that Tracy McGrady is expected to sign with the Chicago Bulls pending a medical report. McGrady has tweeted recently that he has an interest in going to Bulls to join the likes of Rose and Boozer. McGrady would probably have to accept more of a bench role with the team, but would most definitely make an impact coming off the bench. If McGrady can remain healthy he could easily work his way into a starting role, and make the Bulls a serious contender. As a life long T-Mac fan i would love to see him sign their and get a chance to win that he hasn’t had in so long. What do you think, would McGrady be a positive signing for the Bulls?

NFL Predictions!

With the NFL season now inching ever so closer, I was wondering who the teams to beat will be this year. The Jets are looking a lot better, as long as Mark Sanchez can have a decent year. I’m also looking for the Giants to have a bounce back year, despite a roster that hasn’t changed much. The obvious teams I’m sure will do well like the Vikings(assuming Favre returns), Colts, Saints and perhaps the Patriots. However, almost every year there is a team that surprises everyone(last years Bengals), so I am wondering who do you think is going to be the Surprise team of the NFL this year, and who do you have winning the Superbowl?

Chris Paul Hopes to be a Knick!

If Chris Paul is too be traded from New Orleans, he has composed a list of teams he would like to go to. Sources are saying that the New York Knicks top his list, followed by Orlando, Dallas and Portland. New York got Amare Stoudemire but missed out on the Lebron James Sweepstakes, so it makes sense that they could be interested in acquiring a top point guard in Paul. To make the story even more interesting Carmelo Anthony has shown interest in returning to his home state of New York as well. Part of me really wants this to happen so there would be a team to compete with the Heat however, this would also localize another 3 of the best players on one team. If you include the Lakers and Celtics that would be 11 or 12 of the top players in the league playing on 4 teams. I’m not so sure that would be good for the NBA, so many teams would be below the skill level of these teams that every year would be predictable and boring. What do you think, does Paul go to the Knicks and would that be good for the league?
